The Kreathon of logistics is an event organized by AUDI AG, 74172 Neckarsulm, with the aim of developing, together with external participants (students), new ideas and prototypes in the “IoT” and “Industry 4.0” environment. Participants will work in teams to develop possible solutions with the support of local Audi staff. The goal is to develop an operational and perceptible prototype and to present this to a professional audience in an exhibition presentation. A prize will be awarded at the end for the best prototype, which will be given the opportunity to be further developed to its implementation stage by Audi.
The Kreathon of logistics will take place from June 8-11, 2018, at the R8 factory in Neckarsulm. In May 2018, the selected participants will be invited directly by the organizer using the contact details provided in their application.
The organizer will select the participants from all applications received based on their expertise and technical background (course of study) and the candidates’ motivation & skills (free text field) in the application on www.kreathon-96h-innovation.de
Competition languages are German & English.

Applications can be submitted online only on the internet page www.kreathon-96h-innovation.de until May 11, 2018.
An application can be submitted by individuals or by teams. A team should comprise four or five persons. Each team member must apply individually. The application form has a field for entering the name of the team. Please be aware that interdisciplinary teams are encouraged. That means that different profiles and skills should be present in a team. If a team does not satisfy this requirement, the organizer reserves the right to favor individual applications.
Applicants will be notified in writing by the organizer by May 14, 2018, whether or not they will be invited to the Kreathon. The finalists who are invited will be given all necessary information regarding travel, accommodation and meals. The organizer will select the finalists from all applications based on their professional background (course of study) and the candidates’ motivation & skills (free text field) in the application on www.smart-factory-hackathon.de / www.smart-factory-hackathon.com.
The organizer will admit a total of up to 50 students to the Kreathon. Invited participants will be required to confirm their participation in writing no later than May 18, 2018. The organizer will offer any unclaimed places in the event to other applicants or not fill them.
There will be no automatic entitlement to participate in the Kreathon of logistics. The judges’ decision is final.
4. IT equipment: Which hardware & software may be used?
The principle for IT equipment in the Kreathon of logistics is “bring your own device.” This means that participants will bring their own hardware & software, usually laptops with software already installed (programming languages).

All components, materials and tools needed to build the prototypes will be provided by the organizer.
